hi all,

I am a new to options and I have a small doubt ...nov 2008 call is trading at 10rs.....if i short it today and the market dont cross 3000 by 27 nov ....it expires worthless rite....what will happen if i don't sell my option till expiry ...will i get 10 rs after settlement

for that i think ur broker want balance in ur a/c approx 200000Rs not sure
differ from broker to broker
leave all this n dont waste ur time
open 888options.com read it carefully
paper trade for three mnths and then ask ur furthur querries or w/o knowledge u can hav big loss
second option
after reading go to option recommendation thread read n paper trade ask ur questions from ghosh sir then do actual trade

if i understand correctly you want to sell the 3K call at 10 Rs. of Nov... so yes you are right... you will gain the entire 10 buck (less brokerage) if we close below 3K...

PS: Though 1 praveen was enuf kidding
