Hi All

I have created small database it’s not finish but just started doing develop. At starting I have develop download program which will download EOD data from NSE and upload on Access database it will check and avoid duplicate records. It will just select and update data where contract has trade more then one.

Next step:-

I will create reports which will provide several information’s about trade. I will create PIVOT report also based on last data it will provide Resistance and stop loss level.

Main report I want to create which will show us what trade we have to go what contract we have select based on data which will keeps us everyone on same page and we will get more profit.

One more point is I will create a report which will provide option trading Greeks information where we need to calculate Delta, Vega, Gamma,Theta & Rho

Friends you can suggest new idea and new formula based on that I will create reports which will help us

I have made this database only in one day just spend 3 hour. I will spend more time and create more queries/reports which will help us to understand proper market trends.

How to use database:-

There are three files :-
1) Option_Database_1_0.zip (Access database file name with 1.0 version)
2) FO_Import.zip (This is a excel file which will download data from NSE database)
3) Data_Update_Help.zip (This is a help file which will provide you information about how to upload data in Ms access )

I cant upload data more then 100 K I will update given three files in next post.

I will say please use database and upload July 1st to 24th Data in databse.

Best regards,
Dhananjay

Hi Naresh,

I have selected strangle / straddle just according to given on first page.
Please let me know how to grudge before taking call or put. I have taken more 4600C because if I select the equal investment amount. I just tried to invest same amount of money on 4600 Call and 4400 Put.

This is a wrong strategy?

How much day before expiry date premium erosion start we have to shift next month contract 10 days before expiry ?

Please let me know your comments.

Regards,
Dhananjay

I am not sure when did you entered 4400P and 4600C ie at What spot price . The differance is huge and you also did some capital averaging . Due to the high qty of 4600C compared to 4400P , You lost . For OTM options , i prefer nextmonth . For example , 4500 straddle for august series might have given us 30 point profit ,some time in after noon, and 10 point profit at the close . Where as July straddle lost 10 points due to premium erosion .

I think its your unrealized loss as you are calculating them with Close prices. Lets see tomorrow , but 4600C is the burden on you .

Regarding my last post... What i colcluded was this -

Options straddles and srtangles will work good in btst and not intraday basis. And as already quoted by a senior member... strangle premium erodes fast is correct. So one can blindly create a straddle at 3.25 and then look for the trend next day and square before 10. This has to work i feel. Will do a paper / demo trade today.

Views welcome

There are many things to consider before going to select strangle , straddle or gut . Noway , all the days you can do all these strategies . And more over , You may get profits in Intraday but postional trades will be the biggest gainers .

I will post my thoughts to night . ( Busy working from past 18 hours )
