Hi ghosh_ak34.
Congrats & thanks for creating a wonderful forum..Which is helpful for Novice in Options trading..Make this thread more interactive.. With ur forumulas given i have calculated the levels for Nifty. 18/08/08--------------------->>>>>>>>>>> 4431 4447 4380 4393 19/08/08--------------------->>>>>>>>>>> 4393 4394 4317 4368 20/08/08--------------------->>>>>>>>>>> 4365 4435 4365 4416 21/08/08--------------------->>>>>>>>>>> 4416 4419 4271 4284 22/08/08--------------------->>>>>>>>>>> 4284 4337 4248 4327 P = (Weeks High + Weeks Low + Weeks Close)/3 S1 = 2P - H R1 = 2P - L H = 4447 L = 4248 2P = 8681.333333333 P = 4340.666666667 S1 = 4234.333333333 R1 = 4433.333333333 Seeing reply from the above page declares i am correct with my value. Now can you explain your strategy with todays data and the above data how to find Entry , exit and stop loss and also explain for intraday and long perspective. It wil be very helpful for me to learn and paper trade myself.. Thank you.

At 3:15 PM buy a call at S1 (4200) only to hedge your position (put bought at R1 (4400)). Otherwise do not buy any call in any point of the day if Nifty trend is down. Please read updated 1st post again. I have added "How to check the trend and Buy options" para in it." Regards |

Please re-read the 1st post. I have stated - "Trend is checked at 10:30 AM-10:45 AM with 20 pts up or down from Nifty opening price. Depending on this trend its recommended to buy Nifty call at S1 if (Opening price - price at 10:30 AM) >= 20pts. And its recommended to buy Nifty put at R1 if (Opening price - price at 10:30 AM) =< 20pts. SL for both put and call price = 30% of your buy price." We do not take into a/c the previous days close to judge the trend, our base point is Nifty opening price based on which we find the trend at 10:30 AM.
