Hi Ghosh Sir & Friends,
I have calculated the next weeks R1 & S1 Levels : Weeks High = 4422 Weeks Low = 4159 Weeks Close = 4413 P = (Weeks High + Weeks Low + Weeks Close)/3 (4422+4159+4413=12994)/3 P = 4331 S1 = 2P - H = 2*4331 - 4422 = 4240 R1 = 2P - L = 2*4331 - 4159 = 4503 R1-S1 = 4503-4240 = 263 If (R1 - S1) >= 300 then, Buy call at S1 and put at R1. else Do not trade at all. So, R1-S1 that is 263 is less than 300. Ghosh sir, kindly correct me if i am wrong. Kindly also guide, that since R1-S1 is less than 300, can we buy Buy call at R1 and put at S1, or only put at S1? Or Shall we avoid trading next week. Awaiting your response, Thanks & Regards, Optionstrader Last edited by optionstrader; 1st August 2008 at 06:31 PM. |

If R1~S1 <300. Means Nifty will be sideways so either avoid trading or trade according to the following strategy : If Nifty opens with gap up and remain above 20pts till 10:30AM - 10:45 AM buy calls at S1 with SL 20-30% from your buy price. Book profit if your target is achieved or buy puts at R1 around 3:00 PM-3:15 PM and hold call with a trailing SL of say 10%. If Nifty opens with gap down and remain below 20pts till 10:30AM - 10:45 AM buy puts at R1 with SL 20-30% from your buy price. Book profit if your target is achieved or buy calls at R1 around 3:00 PM-3:15 PM and and hold put with a trailing SL of say 10%. Vary calls and puts nos. according to the trend. Regards |

Your strategy will result in profit when Nifty moves down. So, hold Nifty 4100 put with SL= 50 max. and square off MiniNifty whenever you get an oppourtunity. This strategy is good in bearish market not in sideways market. Buy calls and puts are per strategy stated below: If Nifty opens with gap up and remain above 20pts till 10:30AM - 10:45 AM buy calls at S1 with SL 20-30% from your buy price. Regards |
