Dear Tulika,

At which levels you have written march puts and bought the put.

I assume that you have bought 5000 put and have written two 4600 puts. Will reco. with this assumption in mind, to square off all positions when Nifty trades below 4900. I personally, do not like writtung calls though.

Regards

Dear Tulika,

I think you have taken too many puts. Would suggest hedge your position by buying 5200 call. Square off atleast one 4900 put. I thought you have written 2 -4900 puts.

Dear Balaji,

Lets wait for budget. Though we are not expecting much. But still its an event followed by next quarterly results. I think market/Nifty will be range bound 4900/5000 - 5400/5600. So, you can buy 5000 or at money 5200 Nifty call and hedge with Nifty 5400 or 5600 put. Keep an eye on the event though and play safe.

Keep strict stop loss whenever you trade. Exit all postions before 20th of the month.

Regards

Ghosh Sir,
I have visited all the Pages of this Thread starting from Page-1. It may be called a SCHOOL to us, the new Traders. Please carry on with full enerzy and courage. Sir, I seek your suggestion on the subject noted below:
(a) I have wondered whether can any trader "SHORT SELL" any Call Option, say Nifty-5400-CE at the appropriate date (depending on market sentiment), and before 'Square-off-Date' can "BUY" back the same Nifty-5400-CE Call option and thus close the transaction. I am using ICICIdirect.com platform for trading purpose. What are the restrictions imposed on such trading in Option Trading ?
(b) Can you give me with an illustration where to put the Stop-Loss Price in between LTP and Limit Price both for BUY and SELL option trading. I have tried to put the SLTP in appropriate SLOT in Trading Page of ICICI but got message which is confusing and I could not understood those notings. Please help.
