Dear Friend,

If you want to buy a call of strike price [email protected]. Then, the cost of the call will be 2.0 X 3850 (lot size)=Rs 7700. Means sharekhan will detect this amount from your a/c. Yeah! Your a/c should have this amount.

Regards

Powergrid is trading at 145+ now .So you may not see any quotes , or transaction for strike price 100 . The active calls will always be nearer to strike price .

Advantage of options is to risk low amount for higher profits . If some one buying a call of strike price 100 , the premium will be around 45-47 , and the margin amount to shell out is more than that of a futures contract .

Go to NSe site ,see what are the most active contacts trading in exchange , do some paper work then enter to option trading . Nowa days Premiums are too high due to the volatility in markets and option players need to be too cautious .

I am not 100% sure ,but the word in stock market is Option Buyers are loosers and sellers are winners :) .
