GoodNews for Options traders.
Hi ,
As per NSE circular , Trading members Shall charge brokerage only on premium and not on strike price+ premium . The only concern we will have is about STT whether STT will also be charged on premium only or not . http://nseindia.com/content/circulars/legl8319.htm Regards Naresh

That's a good news and may we say bad too, because there will be more Option buyers who will contribute their share to the percentage of losers....?!?!  Sunil Saranjame.

that is great news for option traders.....especially for those who undertake spreadtrading and other strategies that involve purchase and sale of multiple options in executing a strategy who used to get killed by the brokerages.....but then again i am afraid the broking houses would adjust the percentages accordingly so that the absolute brokerage per lot would remain almost same as they are now.......
