Implied Volatility - IV

hello,
I would like to ask any experienced options trader in this forum if he/she can help me to find Implied Volatility - IV and HISTORICAL VOLATILITY of any stock and delta of any option. does any trading terminal provide this info or any charting platform? please help

I dont think so. Theres delta,vega and theta thats important. Dont neglect them. I think you have gone thru optionalpha. He hasnt said to ignore delta and theta. Ofcourse IV/vega is important.

Options isnt any holy grail. kirk has taken atleast 2 30 min podcasts on probability thru casino example. Drawdowns, Understanding Risk reward/ win loss ratio is very important in options.




IV is the only thing on which whole option trading is based...
if you don't know what is IV then one must not even think to start trading in options market

I know but if this 3 (IV, HV and Delta)is not provide by any software then rest will be impossible... That's why I asked about them

Iv is a whole lot of thing. Every strike price whether its ATM/ITM or OTM has different IVs. Ivs change every minute. Historical volatility is available in http://www.traderscockpit.com/?pageView=nifty-volatility

Options pricing really can go higher or lower than historical volatility again :thumb:
