Hi Friends,

27th May onward NSE is starting Bank Nifty options with weekly expiry, i.e. with expiry on each Thursday.

At a time seven week contracts shall be available for trading.

What do you think shall this lead to more volatility in the market or volatility will be reduced?

Would have been interesting to see weekly options of Nifty too.

Share your thoughts.

This is good news. About time weekly options were launched.

Volatility - not sure.

Hope commodity options too are launched soon.

This seems to be a good idea, provided liquidity is there, which is likely, may take 1-2 weeks time.
Now one can play in ITM options, which was otherwise a costly affair particularly in first week of the new expiry (monthly)
Lets hope for the best

Well bank nifty options already didn't have much liquidity, like rs 3/4 spread in current month ATM options (though didn't check price for a long time)

Would be interesting to see development

weekly options would be cheap as compared to monthlies...less theta.

and the possibility to make quick money should attract retail customer.
