mutual funds plan with sip

I want to invest in mutual funds 10000 pm.im a sw engg and 31 yo. Should i go for diversified equity,balanced fund and a small cap or it would lead to some duplication. For balancd fund ive in my mind hdfc balanced fund,for small cap im thinking of sbi magnum emerging business fund and for diversified equity im thinking of uti opportunities fund.i need to knw if my line of thinking is correct or do i need to do some changes.i plan to invert for 5 yrs.
