Default New to Mutual Fund

Hi,
I am new to Mutual Funds so tell me how it works. And give me some example like invest 10,000 per year in mutual funds with 10 nav. Then how will get returns and how will I sell. So please clarify my doubt because I am ready to invest in mutual funds monthly like sip plan. And also suggest me which is the best MF in sip plans. How to invest online. And mutual funds are considered in which tax I mean 80C or 80G like that.

Regards,
KNVS

if your fund performs well than either NAV of your fund shall increase or u shall get dividend or instead of dividend u shall get new units at the prevailing NAV.
This depends on the type of plan u choose - growth, dividend or dividend re-invest.

for 80 c u shall have to invest in ELSS (equity linked saving schemes).

but with the implementation of the DTC, this shall be discontinued in future.
but for this financial year u shall get 80 c benefits.

80 g is for tax benefits on donations.
