Mutualfund Interest calculation

#1
Hello All,

i have confusion. How do mutual fund interest is being calculated in case of SIP?

ex: IDFc Premier Eq gave 30%(approx) for three years..
does this mean it is Cumulative Interest, like,
if i start 1000 as sip,
1st year 30% of 1000 = 1300
2nd year 30% of 1300 = 1690
3rd Year 30% of 1690 = 2197.

is this correct ?

Thanks.

Whatever you invest through SIP is invested in buying MF units at the prevailing NAV. Suppose in the first month NAV is Rs. 10 then Rs. 1000 shall fetch you 100 units.
Next month if NAV becomes Rs. 20 then u shall get 50 units. in the next-to-next month if NAV becomes Rs. 5 you shall get 200 units.

after 3 months u shall have 350 units.
Similarly if in a year u accumulates 1200 units, then dividend shall be calculated on 1200 units.
now dividend calculation shall be done on the final NAV(prevailing NAV at the time of dividend declaration), suppose it is Rs. 12 then Rs. 3.6 dividend shall be payable on 1200 accumulated units.

Considering dividend payout plan ex-dividend NAV shall become Rs. 8.4(12-3.6).
