I'm a novice in financial investment.I was going through the offer document of the SBI Infra NFO and had a few questions.

It seems after applying online for the fund do we still have to fill in the application form and mail it to the AMC. Is there any deadline for the receipt of the same?

What happens if the last date of the NFO is 8/6/07 and I apply online before that but the application form is received on 15/6/07?

Thanks.

What about the nomination if we purchase through the online portal ? I come to know that currently ICICI don't have this option.

Why do you need a folio number? It is not required if you use HDFC Netbanking for further investment. It only asks your mutual fund account number of HDFC Bank.

Default mutual fund investment through Sharkhan

Hi Everyone ,
i am very new to trading.recently i have opened a demat account with Share Khan Ltd.
Now i am planning to buy mutual funds.i have some queries, and looking some suggestions from any experience member.
i have decided to go with two mutual funds which gives Tax Benifit also. One i have decided , is SBI Magnum Tax Gain and another yet to finalize(any suggestions for that ).
i have planned to go with SIP plan(as m new to tis field i hope this is gud option) with 2000 each. Can it happen any time , that i want to discontinue paying , or increase or decrease the amount monthly?
l Is it better to purchase mutual funds online or through some agent.Though i have share khan account , i m not feeling comfortable trading first time.is it safe and secure and what is the investment proof i ll get to show to my finance department.

please guide.

Thanks
thakur

Hello Mr Thakur,

I have invested in SBI, Reliance and Fidelity’s tax saving funds.

If I compare the above funds with respect to returns for my investment, I conclude that the Fidelity Tax Advantage Fund is a better option. You could opt for either dividend or growth option.
