Citibank is alright. But the problem with them that they have a hopeless customer care. They would never acknowlege thier mistakes when it happens. ICICI has been better in my experience.
Another issue is that they have lesser number of funds compared to ICICI |

Hi Venkat,
I also have similar requirement like yours (online txn / one place tracking etc). I use ICICIDirect to buy/sell MFs. When abroad, it is much easier to transfer money to your ICICI bank acct thru money2India facility. And then you can quickly transfer it to you MF investment acct and buy MFs. As I have MF holding in paper form as well so I use valueresearchonline for tracking the latest NAV for all of them. It needs one time effort enter your MF portfolio here. The site has lot of good info about MFs performance etc hence great source for other analysis. I then transfer the NAV data to my excel based tracker. Happy Investing. |

Folks,
I realized this only recently (required reading some fineprint). If you invest in Kotak funds online through their site, they use an NAV of two days later. i.e. if you purchase today(Tue) before the cutoff time, they will take the money right away, but use the NAV at the end of Thur. Not sure if other AMCs do that. -- Milind |

Dear all, i have online trading a/c with icicdirect. Through which i have taken some ELSS units. which have 3yrs lockin from now.
1. Now i wish to close the icicidirect a/c. So will it be possible for me to transfer-out the MF units under lockin period into offline mode. 2. Is it possible to switch between the Dividend and Growth option in ELSS schemes. If it is, is there any restriction on number of times it can be done. 3. I have ELSS units with Div-reinvestment option. When i tried to switch to Growth option, my request was rejected in ICICIDirect. Also, there is no option for switching from Div-reinvestment to Div-payout in ICICIdirect. Plz clarify Thanx n advance |
