You contact any AMFI certified mutual fund advisor near your area they will provide free service and do all the form processing for you. OR you can visit any of the bank branches they will have the forms.

To save tax under sec 80c
1) SBI taxgain
2) HDFC taxsaver
3) Principal

are few of the best funds

Why don't you go for Exchange Traded Funds? They are just like Equity Shares
ETFs Launched on NSE
S&P CNX Nifty UTI Notional Depository Reciepts Scheme (SUNDER)
Liquid Benchmark Exchange Traded Scheme (Liquid BeES)
Junior Nifty BeES
Nifty BeES
Bank BeES

Default Buying mutual funds - online or through agent - which is better?

Hi Friends,

I have been trying to analyze whether investing through online portals for MF is better or through agents.

I have found icicidirect.com and reliancemoney and few other online sites which allow this but their customer service so far has been not that good. Also it looks like these are better if you trade actively in stocks.

What is your opinion? is buying through agents safe and good?

thanks in advance,
tm

Default SIPs through online !!

Hello All,

Having decided a portfolio just a few days back, I am now in a dilemma of how to invest my money thru SIP route.

I did approach my bank, i.e HDFC and the relationship manager said you cannot do SIP through Online banking!! Again, he was misleading about the choice of funds i made. There are few other guys too who will fill the form for you and stuff like that.. but personally I am wary about these agents.

Is there a simple and trustworthy instrument with all facilities given to the investor (there are few online portals which offer only select schemes from select AMCs.). I would prefer online, paperless method.

I intend to be invested for long .. atleast 5-7 years and would like to make all my investments under one umberlla. The only vision is that I can buy, sell , redeem, switch etc whether SIP or Lumpsum. Maybe I have to fill one time registration form and provide basic documents like PAN copy etc, but after that.. if there is a way on the click of my mouse.. for "buy" and the money is directly taken from my savings account, it would be really great.

Guys, I registered with timesofmoney.com.. but i dont think they will provide a good service.

Any people out there knowing a good system which takes care of all this?

Thanks

Jeet
