Stopping SIPs

Hello Friends,

I am doing SIPs into some funds which are not performing well. At the time of starting SIPs, in the application form I had filled SIP duration as 10 years.
Is it possible to stop SIPs before 10 years in this case ?

Hi,

Yes, you can stop as long as you have completed the minimum period of 6 months or so.

A general thumb rule would be start a SIP for an year and review at the end of the year.

If online access exists, you can stop with a click. Else, you need to send in a written and signed application to the AMC 7 days (may be different for different AMC) before your next SIP date.
