Please Advice!!

Hi Friends

I am investing through SIP in the following funds. However, I need to cut down at least 2 if not 3 funds from this list since I am on verge of buying a house where I need to give sizable amount each month.

All these Funds have equal deductions scattered over the month. Would it be wise to have 2/3 funds out of the list altogether or remove One SIP instalment from each of the fund during the month?

HDFC Prudence (Hybrid - Balanced)
HDFC Top 200 (Large & Mid Cap)
DSP Top 100 (Large Cap)
Reliance Regular Savings Equity (Multi Cap)
IDFC Small & MID Cap (Small & Mid Cap)
ICICI Pru Discovery (Small & Mid Cap)

-------------------------------------
I am thinking of discontinuing the following:

1) HDFC Top 200 (as I am already invested in almost alike fund Prudence)
2) Reliance Regular Savings Equity
3) ICICI Pru Discovery (as there is another small & Mid Cap)

Please advise.

Thanks

I would suggest you stick with HDFC Top 200 and discontinue with HDFC Prudence. Of course, this would depend if you are young (below 35) and have plenty of time to let your investments to grow.

Otherwise HDFC Prudence's balanced nature is more suitable!

The remaining choices are fine according to me!

Check their portfolios and track record and if the holdings are different, you can continue. Two Funds may or may not have same portfolios..
