Mutual funds review

Hello Everyone,

I am Chanchal Sharma.
My age is 30.
I have started investing in mutual funds through SIP.

Following are my list of funds and investing 3000/month in each fund.

1 - ICICI pru focused bluchip fund growth
2 - HDFC Top 200 growth
3 - HDFC Equity fund growth
4 - HDFC midcap opportunities fund growth.

Could you please review my funds and suggest if these are good to continue.

Please suggest one more fund to invest 3000 more as I want to have 5 funds in my portfolio.

They are good ones, but the first three belong to same category. They have nearly similar portfolios, so you should reduce to one instead of three of these Large Cap funds. HDFC Top 200 or equity will be relatively better. You could also allot 5% of your portfolio to Gold ETF. Mid-Cap Opportunities gives you diversification in terms of exposure to potential small and mid cap companies. It is a hold.

You can add Quantum Long Term Equity fund to your portfolio, for long term investment.

U have taken 3 funds from HDFC. So change atleast one fund to other fund house

I would recommend Franklin India Bluechip as a pure large-cap fund or IDFC Premier Equity as a Mid & small cap as another addition to your portfolio.
