Checkout Sundaram BNP Paribas Capex Opportunities too. It's being doing well.

Default Your opinion on Infrastructure Mutual Funds.

Hi folks,
I am seriously thinking about investing in UTI infrastructure Advantage fund. The word "infrastructure" in india seems to be atlast getting some milage.I read some artiles about these funds and understood that these are & would be doing great in the years to come. What do u guys feel about it?Is it wise to invest heavily in such funds(I am also planning to invest a part of the amount in other infrastucture funds too).

Am new to MF's,please post your advise and suggestions!!!

Thanks.

Infrastrucutre is definately a happening sector. And no surprise most of top 10 are infra.
I have ICICI Infra I got doubled my money in less than 2 yrs. But Question you should ask is if this a correct time to enter? I sense there would be some corrections

And rather than going for NFO always try to get into tried and tested Funds so i prefer personaly
ICICI infra, Tata infra, DSP Tiger. to name a few..

NFO is just a Same wine in New bottle don't go if it realy has something different to offer

Regards.

Invest in Infrastructure fund only after investing in a large cap fund and a multicap fund.

Thanks Guys,
I am Planning to go with
Sundaram BNP Pariabas Capex Opp,
Sundaram BNP Pariabas Energy Opp (NFO) and
Tata Infrastructure fund.

I have Reliance Equity opportunities fund and UTI Infrastructure fund in the form of SIP(3000 each). I am in a Dilemma whether to go for SIP or One time investment for the Above said Funds.

Any Suggestions Ppl?

Default Re: Your opinion on Infrastructure Mutual Funds.

I have UTI Infrastructure and SBI Infrastructure..
SBI was an NFO when I bought and is doing reasonably good now(NAV around 14.5) and UTI Infra was already a Well established Infrastructure Fund and is doin great..
So, I feel it basically depends on the what it really offers.
It is better to Invest in Infra NFO's only If they they Promise to offer better than the Established Funds.
Else it is safer to go for Well established Infra MF's like UTI, Tata Infra, ICICI Prudential...etc
