They are doing Pair trading now a days. Going Long On some futures and going short on some other set of futures. Now it's upto you to decide.

Best Regards,

I would say that Reliance Equity Fund is a borne winner..
Reasons: FIRST, Reliance AMC is very good, look at track record of their funds and you will get an answer, SECOND, this is going to be the very first fund to do intraday trading etc...
Therefore, I would keep my expectations high with this MF IPO.

Alok.

Intra-day trading?? Dont think my expectations would be very high in that case... MFs are supposed to be stock-pickers, not intra-day traders.
But yes, with their hedging strategy, looks good.

From what little I know, they not only plan to hedge their portfolio using derivatives but also active shorts to capitalise on a down move, but I don't think they are doing any intraday trading.---but again that's what little I understood.

Yup Dhanya, you are right. No mutual fund would want to get into intra-day trading. Even if they did, they wouldnt want to go around trumpeting it!!
