Portfolio Review

I have chosen 3 funds for SIP, and planning to invest in them for atleast for 3 years.

HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund (G) - 1.5K
HDFC Top 200 Fund (G) - 1.5K
IDFC Small & Midcap Equity (G) - 1.5K

Let me know what do you guys think..

Your portfolio is very good in terms of long-term story. However, you do have a skew towards mid and small cap space which will mean that there will be a lot of volatility. I would definitely recommend balancing the portfolio a bit.

To your current portfolio, I would definitely recommend adding DSPBR Top 100 as a pure Large cap fund so that you have a decent balance across all market capitalizations and have the necessary impetus required for a long term appreciation.

your new portfolio also looks good. I hope having a 50% midcap orientation is a preferred choice and you are fine with it.
