Good Mid & Small cap fund.

Presently I am holding Sundaram SMILE fund. Performance of this fund is poor so I want to switch some other Mid & Small cap fund which have more exposer towards small cap stocks. I have sufficient allocation in Large and mid cap fund.
Plz suggest me 2-3 good funds on above criteria for more than 10 yr time frame.

Hi Shubh,

10 years is a long period. At the cost of repeating myself, I would really recommend you to review your choice atleast once per year. Coming to Mid and Small Cap fund, the existing good funds are in order of priority:

1) IDFC Premier Equity fund (Current Investment Window closes on 16th May 2011)
2) ICICI Pru Discovery
3) DSPBR Microcap Fund
4) HDFC Mid-cap Opportunities Fund
5) DSPBR Small and Midcap Fund
6) IDFC Small and Midcap Fund

IDFC Premier is a bit unique in terms of investing. It is not a completely open-fund in the sense that the manager opens for subscriptions to raise a specific amount and close as soon as the objective is reached. Current Window closes tomorrow (16/5).
