On the back of a strong response from its earlier issue of Lower Tier II Bonds, the State Bank of India (SBI), country's largest public sector bank has announced yet another issue of "SBI Lower Tier II Bonds (Series 3 and Series 4)".
IIn its maiden issue in October 2010 ( 1,000 crore), the offering received an overwhelming response from the investors as it was oversubscribed 17 times on the first day itself forcing the bank to curtail subscription and finally the issue was overbought 20 times.
