Here is my fortfolio:

DSP Blackrock Balanced (G) SIP 2500/-
Tata Balanced (G) SIP 2500/-
ICICI Pru Discovery (G) SIP 2500/-
HDFC Top 200 (G) SIP 2500/-
Benchmark Gold ETF SIP 1 unit

I have some 50K to invest in MFs. Should I add to any of these or should I puchase any new funds?

Please review and advice.

Thanks,

WB

It would help if you would share your age and how long do you plan to stay invested.

The 50K should be introduced thru a SIP over the next 5-6 months.

Thanks.

I am 35 and have 2 children. My investment horizon is very long, as I plan to raise fund for my childrens education thru MF investment. I plan to stay invested for next 10-12 years.

I would recommend that you replace DSPBr Balanced with DSPBR Top 100 Equity.

also, replace the Tata Fund with either Birla Frontline Equity Plan A or Fidelity Equity. Make sue the Gold exposure is between 5-10% of the overall portfolio, not more than that.

I would recommend

1. Reliance Banking Fund(G), though its risky you could depend on it for long term investment. Since india is a growing country with strong bank fundamentals you can get better retruns.

2. HDFC Equity fund.

You can expect nearly 10-15% or even more return in the above funds for 5-10 years period
