dear members,
1...Is it advisable to invest through SIP in an elss fund from jan 2011-march 2012 or a one time investment (lumpsum) between jan-march 2012 to avail tax benefits for that financial year ? status of same elss fund after march 2012 ??

2. which among the two is better fidelity tax adv or icici tax plan? growth option

3. which of the following are the best core large cap funds with good track record other than the all time best (( hdfctop 200,dsp top 100 and bsl frontline,RRSF Equity)) ? is it hdfc equity? or fidelity equity? or fidelity india growth ?or franklin blue chip? or quantum long term equity?

4...how should be ur portfolio? large cap 75%,midcap & small 25 % for long term investment to build a good corpus ( i.e., good portfolio , which can bear market volatility???

ur expert suggestions are welcome (senior members ...suggest pls)

SIP is better unless you are a salaried employee and your office is asking for Investment proof by Feb 2011.

lock in status of same elss fund after march 2012.

Multi-cap - very long term goals spanning 20 yrs n above. SIP route
Balanced - goals spanning 5 yrs and above. SIP route
Debt - MIP/Floating rate. - short term needs.
