Equity SIP from ICICI

ICICI started new concept Equity SIP similar on the lines of mutual funds. It will invest some fixed amount or fixed number of stocks regularly where one can invest in any blue chip funds or ETF's.

I feel it would be good for ETF's only but not stocks.
Any views??
