Hello,

Can anyone please help me with the classification of following funds as large cap, mid cap, small cap, micro cap, multi cap, balanced fund, etc.. Though the name of some funds suggests their category, still I am not sure if they are what their name suggests. 1) Birla Sunlife Frontline Equity Fund - Plan A
2) Birla Sunlife Midcap Fund - Plan A
3) Birla Sunlife Dividend Yield Plus

1) IDFC Premier Equity Fund

1) HDFC Top 200 Fund
2) HDFC Equity Fund
3) HDFC Growth Fund

1) DSP BlackRock Equity Fund
2) DSP BlackRock Top 100 Equity Fund
3) DSP BlackRock Micro Cap Fund
4) DSP BlackRock Small & Mid Cap Fund

1) Reliance Vision Fund
2) Reliance Regular Savings Fund - Equity Option
3) Reliance Growth Fund

1) ICICI Pru Discovery Fund
2) ICICI Pru Focused Bluechip Equity Fund

1) Sundaram Select Midcap Fund
2) Sundaram Select Focus Fund
3) Sundaram S.M.I.L.E. Fund

Thanks!

Manish,
Glad to see your interests in starting your investment via mutual funds. I would suggest you read some more. In order to invest in a fund, just knowing the category alone may or maynot be useful. Use the "Funds compare" tool in www.valueresearchonline.com.
