Here is a list of websites from which you can invest online with your Folio number and PAN number. You will be asked to register an email id the first time. I could find the websites for some AMCs including HDFC, Reliance, BirlaSF, DSPBR, ICICI, Sundaram etc. Please add to this list if you have more.

If you are a new investor (without a Folio number), you have to fill out some paperwork and go via CAMS or Karvy.

When you invest online will the units be delivered in demat form into demat accounts or will they issue only physicl units. Can anyone clarify
