would u like to invet in equity, debt , balance or etf ?
Please answer few questions to let us help you better.

1. What is your investment time horizon. i.e. For how much period, you do not need this money (etc 3 yrs, 5yrs)

2. How much risk do you think you can take? If you 3 lakh investment comes down to 2 lakh in 2 years, will you be able to tolerate it? or sell in panic?

3. What about your other investments? Do you have exposure to equity in for of ULIPSm Shares etc? or it is all debt like FD's & PF?

hi, the first thing you should do is to ascertain for how long you would like to invest your money. If it is less than 5 years then you should not invest in mutual funds. You need to ascertain your risk profile as well.Secondly instead of investing 3 lakhs in lumpsum, you should opt for a systematic investment plan and invest regularly on monthly basis. In this way u dont need to time the market. I would suggest you to invest in the following funds.
HDFC Top 200 Fund
Reliance Growth Fund
DSP BlackRock Fund
Birla Sunlife Frontline Equity
Sundaram Select Mid-Cap (high risk high return fund)
