Dear All,
I wish to invest in this fund Principal Emerging Bluechip Fund - Growth which is giving returns of 150% (approx.) in one year and 149% (approx.) since inception. However it gave 42% (approx.) in 6 months. I would like to know from knowledgeable people around this site to guide and help me and others know if this fund is worth investing.
Thank you for your timely and appreciating well in advance.

Principal as a mutual fund is comparatively smaller than other AMCs as far as the AUM is concerned. It is a midcap fund. Investing in Midcap sector is a very good idea, that too in this period of the market. You may consider other midcap schemes that are very fundamentally strong, like Sundaram BNPP Select Midcap Fund, DSP Black Rock Equity Fund and Birla SL Midcap Fund.

NSB,

It is never good idea to chase short term performance, and more so in an exceptional phase of the market which H2-2009 was. Look for funds which have been around more than 3-5 years and have performed well. There are several.
