I have online mutual fund investments through icicidirect and citibank.
Recently i have started using camsonline to check my investments.
In ICICIDIRECT some of my investments had email id so when i requested for online statement from cams i got only those which have email id.
I used the cams active statement to request them to include my missing folios. Sundaram, ICICI prudential which are in icicidirect updated my email id but sbi refused saying icicidirect is my channel partner and to contact them directly and they do not have a record of my Address. hear is the quote from thier email.
"As your are aware your investment in made through ICICI Securities Ltd who are channel brokers of SBI MF. All transactions including non-financial transactions are processed only after verification of signature to protect the interests of the investors. Cases where the investment is made through a channel broker the signature of investor and other personal details including his address are not maintained at our end but with the channel broker. In respect of ICICI Securities Ltd investments you need to forward the request to ICICI Securities Ltd. Kindly forward a fresh request to the channel broker to enable them do the needful."
First question Dont I have any rights to directly request on my MF according to SBI mutual fund.
Second is it not scary that the SBI MF does not have my address for my investments.
You think this is bad
Coming to citionline I have only investment in Birla MF when i used the active statement they also asked me to contact citibank directly for anything regarding my investments. The scariest part in my dealing with citibank has been without my permission they keep changing the dividend reinvestment to dividend payout.
