Hello Adithya!

Choice is nice, but too many funds!!
* Rs 2500 pm go into tax savers. Better keep one fund for the ELSS category.
* For the rest of 10k keep only 3 funds in my openion.
DSPBR Top100= 4000
Reliance Reg Sav= 3000
Mag Contra= 3000

Thanks mrindia :). I appreciate your suggestion

Yes, i wondering on the same lines.
But at the same, wouldn't it be better to have the portfolio spread across some good fund managers and fund houses, so even if one or two perform bad others do good, kind of balancing act. Just a thought, any comments on this.

Hello!
Diversification over fund houses & fund types is always welcome but over diversification kills. A jumbo portfolio will not take u towards a particular direction anytime. 4-5 carefully selected funds are better.
