What is Gilt fund ,,
I saw the returns of ICICI Prudential Gilt Investment PF ", it is giving good returns.,


Rs:25,000 is minimum , but i am not sure of lock period.


Can i go for it ?

My suggestion is look for good track records, preferably crisil and then decide. Lot of buss going for gilt, so pls be careful.

If I am not mistaken, the guilt funds are in the line of debt funds. If this be the case then it attracts higher rate of tax about 33% and it is not advisable to go for it.

I would like to know if I am wrong. Grateful for Gurus' comments.
