Hi All,
I had invested in (equity diversified products) JM Basic Fund - Gr and Reliance Regular Savings Fund - Equity Plan - Gr of amount 20k and 30k respectively in Feb08. The exit load is NIL for both the product after 6 month. When i invested sensex was very high compared to now.So if i quit will i be getting the value of the unit as per the current price.(Obviously which is less from when I invested) or will i be getting the minium amount which I invested (50K) irrespective of the market disaster???? I dont want to hold this product for a long term. Please guide me. Regards Dhirendra |

Hi,
You will get only the value as per the current price. Mutual funds will give benefit only in the long term 3 to 10 years. Regards, Sriram |

also pay focus on asset allocation, include debt components.
Your portfolio lacks a strong core. Include one large cap fund and one multicap fund as your core. |

Hello!
You will get money acc. to latest NAV & not rs50K. Yours is a clear example of lumpsum investment getting disaterous results. Had it been SIP, losses would have cushioned. Also, increase your time horizon to at least 3yrs if you choose MFs as investment tool. mr india |
