Default MF Investment Options for 12K/Month

Hello,

I posted my querry in early january to invest in the following MFs and received sound advice from you guys. I am planning to invest in this month, but need to know whether these funds really look promising after the turmoil in the Share market?

My portfolio looks like this:

1.Reliance Growth - Rs 2000/Month
2.DSP ML tiger - Rs 3000/Month
3.DSP ML equity - Rs 2000/Month
4.Franklin Prima Plus (Dividend) - Rs 3000/Month
5.Reliance Power Diversified Fund - Rs 2000/Month

Please suggest whether I could really continue with the same or try other options.

P.S.: Vicky78 your advice would be really helpful, please suggest.

Thanks in advance!

Default Advice needed

Hi,

I have invested in the following funds through SIP. SIP started from Jan 2008Please let me know your feedback on this. Let me know if the portfolio is balanced.

SBI Magnum Balanced Fund Growth 1000
Reliance Vision Fund Dividend 3000
DSP Merril Lynch Equity Fund D 1000
Birla Sunlife Equity Fund D 2000
DSP ML Opportunities FundD 1000
Reliance Growth Fund 1000

Also If I want to increase the SIP to 25000, let me know which ones of these I should increase. Or should I go for any other fund than in this list.

Thanks and regards

Your fund selection is good. split the excess money evenly among these funds.

yes... stick to these funds. Continue to invest for atleast a year and then review your funds performance. Excess churning would hamper returns.

hello vickey!
One of my previous query remained un-answered. Plz reply.
I have HDFC Prudence & Magnum Contra as 'core funds' n Tata Infra, Kotak opportunities as 'satellite funds'. I have 50k more to invest. Do i need to add more funds into core & satellite? I have shortlisted the following:
Birla Equity
Birla Sunlife Equity
DSPML Equity
HDFC Equity
Franklin India Prima Plus
Reliance Vision
Which one has to be added to 'core' if there is need?
I have to start 2 SIPs 2000 each. Which funds among portfolio are to be selected for the same?
Hope u wil enlighten!

thanx in advance

All the funds you have listed are core funds and very good ones... you may pick one depending on the level of aggression and market cap.

More aggressive

dsp ml equity
birla sunlife equity
Reliance Vision

Less Aggressive
HDFC Equity
Franklin Prima Plus

Large Cap
Reliance Vision
Franklin Prima Plus

Multicap
Birla Sunlife Equity
DSPML Equity
HDFC Equity
