Hello
There are two funds in my list - 1. DSP-MLTax Saver Fund (D) = 15k 2. Birla Sun Life Tax Relief '96 = 15k What you guys think about these two ELSS? Second, 1. Principal Tax saving, or 2. Personal Tax Saver Which one is good in between these two Principal ELSS? Nitin |

Your choices of funds are good Birla Sunlife tax Relief 96 and Principal tax Savings would make a good choice. Both are aggressive funds and have a good amount of churn in their portfolios. Principal tax savings is more aggressive taking sunstantial positions in small and mid cap funds while Birla Sunlife tax relief has a large cap orientation.

Among the funds you selected the best would be Magnum tax gain, followed by Kotak tax Saver.
Avoid taurus Libra Tax shield. It has a very poor long term track record. DWS is relatively a new fund. Another good fund outside this spectrum would be Birla Sunlife Tax Relief 96. It has a good long term track record, fell once below the category average in 2005. Since inception it has delivered 40% CAGR. |
