Default Best ELSS (Equity Linked Savings Scheme) - II

Hello

There are two funds in my list -

1. DSP-MLTax Saver Fund (D) = 15k
2. Birla Sun Life Tax Relief '96 = 15k

What you guys think about these two ELSS?

Second,
1. Principal Tax saving, or
2. Personal Tax Saver

Which one is good in between these two Principal ELSS?

Nitin

Your choices of funds are good Birla Sunlife tax Relief 96 and Principal tax Savings would make a good choice. Both are aggressive funds and have a good amount of churn in their portfolios. Principal tax savings is more aggressive taking sunstantial positions in small and mid cap funds while Birla Sunlife tax relief has a large cap orientation.

Principal Personal tax Saving has high risk grade. Avoid! Also you will have 3 year lock & you wont get the oportunity to exit from it if it proves to be poor choice

Hi Nitin

What about the India's largest ELSS Scheme, Magnum Tax Gain,
It is also giving good returns consistantly,

Among the funds you selected the best would be Magnum tax gain, followed by Kotak tax Saver.

Avoid taurus Libra Tax shield. It has a very poor long term track record. DWS is relatively a new fund.

Another good fund outside this spectrum would be Birla Sunlife Tax Relief 96. It has a good long term track record, fell once below the category average in 2005. Since inception it has delivered 40% CAGR.

in sbi tax gain fund 93. they are not accepting new inverstors application forms due to the large size of funs, instead they have launched scheme SBI TAX ADVANTAGE FUND SERIES 1, u must have to invest in thias funs to get the best performance than sbi tax gain fund.

Hello !!

I never heard of this before. In fact, I just applied my first MF on this today !!

How many else have faced this problem of SBI not allowing you to invest in TAX GAIN 93?

And by the way is SBI Magnum Tax Gain & Tax Gain 93 one and the same?

Thanks

Jeet
