1. SBI Magnum Taxgain and Taxgain 93 are same schemes
2. There is no restriction on investing in Magnum Tax Gain 93, it is an open ended fund and will remain so.
3. The three schemes on my hit list are 1. Birla Taxsaver 2. DSP Taxsaver 3. Magnum Taxsaver not in any particular order. You may spread your exposure in these three funds as they continue to be in top five for quite a long time. I hope it will help you.
3.

Dont add too many tax savings funds. Invest the remaining 16 K in your existing schemes. More funds added will dilute returns and your portfolio will start resembling a broad index.

hi, in my openion SBI MAGNUM TAXGAIN IS BEST, I am investing since 2006 and got 23% return in 2007 and approx 19% this year. Their process is also very simple. u open an account with any SBI brand and take Internet Banking facility, which is free of cost. then visiting sbimf.com u can invest directly where no entry load charged.

Pick 2 funds and split your money.
from your list you can avoid HDFC taxsaver. its has a pathetic two year performance. Magnum Tax gain is good pick.
If you really have the stomach to take high risk go for principal personal tax saver.

Hey folks....plss pour in ur opinion.....Pls give me a suggestion.............
Diverify your ELSS portfolio (AMC wise as well as Cap wise) -

Multi cap -
SBI Magnum Tax gain
Sundaram BNP Paribas Tax Saver

Large cap -
HDFC Tax Saver

Mid Cap -
Principal Tax savings (Don't go for Principal Pesonal Tax saver as its too risky)
ELSS from Birla AMC
