All the above i have made lump sum investments.

I started my investment when the sensex was at the peak i.e. in Jan this year. Do you think i should do something or leave the funds as it is.

Thanx
If you haven't done anything until now. If I were you, I will stay invested and keep investing by SIP.

Do not invest in lumpsums, only by SIP.

Reduce your investments to sector funds.

Happy Investing.

I was investing in MF since 2 yrs thru a broker and plan to put more in MF. I saw this website joined it.

After reading some posts decided to go for ICICI Direct first.,

Currently i have in my MF.

Principal Personal Tax Saver- 7 %
Reliance Diversified Power Sector Fund - Gr - 14%
ICICI Prudential Focused Equity Fund - Gr (SIP)- 10%
SBI Magnum Tax Gain Fund - Gr (SIP) & Others - 50%

(but all are in red status now as market is low)

Now planning to go for some good MFs.,

This is a good pick. However MIPs are not very good choices as neither do they provide capital protection during the bear market nor do they provide good returns during the bull run. Birla Sunlife Short Term is all debt short term fund. It maybe a better option

Hello Vicky!

I am continuing to invest in the below funds.... Lumpsums but in small amount like 2K and 3K.. I cannot do SIP as I dont have regular income. I would like you to give your opinion whether I can continue to invest in this manner for the below funds: I am trying to balance equal amounts to all this funds by putting money in each fund by turns.

DSP ML Equity
DSP TIGER
HDFC Prudence
SBI Magnum Contra
SBI Tax Gain
Sundaram Tax Saver (I have stopped investing in Birla Tax 96)

Btw, Vicky.. I hope you being the moderator, I can request you to remove that beautiful dame in complete clothes up there..... You know what, I introduced Dad to read this forum.. He is very new to internet world... and my god while I was scrolling in front of him..... this young lady greeted me..

Thanks

Jeet

Yes good selection keep up with it.

However try to put ur money into a debt fund whenever you get and do a STP. As you know I would never recommend anybody even in a bull market not to go via SIP.

Cheers!

Thanks Vicky!

As I told you I am investing in lumpsum in small amounts of 2K-3K which is as small as SIP investments. Once in a while I reach 5K, but that is the maximum. However, I will take your advice and learn about first putting money in a debt fund first and do a STP. I dont know much about it as of now.

Thanks again .. You are great !!

Jeet
