Default Sbi Magnum Taxgain '93

Hi,

I have been waiting to enter in SBI Magnum Tax gain MF scheme for some time. Have heard that MF schemes open for some time in the year so that people can start investing using SIP and without entry load in this case.

Any expected time frame for this.

Brainfever.

If you have tax saving in mind, then you should go for Dividend option .. This will enable you to get dividend every year so there will be some income coming in from your funds which are locked in for three years ..
SBI Magnum Taxgain provides you with both the options .. I'd recommend dividend option .. Last year's dividend was 11 Rs .. So if you have 400 units, you'll get 400 x 11 Rs as dividend ..

I have also invitested in sbi tax gain and yes the divident was 11/unit last time.It was 15/unit the previous time.Waiting to see what's this time!!!

One thing I am not clear is the relation between NAV and divident.Last time when the NAV was around 55 we got 11/unit and now the NAV value has gone up to 66.Is NAV and divident amount/unit are directly related?Higher the NAV more the divident?

Can some one pls clarify?

Nav and dividend are related. When the dividend is issued the NAV goes down

But apart from that the dividend amount does not depend on higher or lower NAV, its upto the fundhouse on how much dividend they would like to issue.
