Default First entry to Mutual Funds

I want to invest Rs 100000 in mutual funds. Please suggest best mutual fund schemes. Here i am really not looking for TAX savings or Insurance from these mutual funds.
Please suggest me!!!

You can try these funds with the suggested allocation.

(1) Reliance Vision......30K
(2) DSP ML Top 100 Equity ...... 30K
(3) Kotak Opportunities ...... 20K
(4) Birla Mid Cap ......10K
(5) Tata Infrastructure ........10K

Hi !

You can think of the following funds...

(1) Reliance Vision
(2) DSP ML Top 100 Equity
(3) Kotak opportunities
(4) Birla Mid Cap

Invest in Debt / Liquid funds of the above AMCs and use STP mode for investing.

Since you already have two good infra sector funds continue with the same for the time being...

Sensex advance / decline need not be reflected in the NAV of a Mutual Fund (Non-index) at all times.

There would be instances where shares of a majority of Cos. that comprise Sensex would have declined, while shares of Cos. where a MF has invested would have advanced and Vice Versa.

Hi all,

I am new to traderji.com site and new to Mutual Fund area.

I would like to invest 50k to 75k in some good open-ended Equity Scheme.

Could you please provide me some good open-end MF scheme, so that I can be a part of this team.

Can I invest in "Relince natural resource fund" ?

I have Rs 1 lakh to invest in Mutual funds - aiming for greater growth of money and not for any tax savings . Which would be the 3 funds i should go for and why - pls suggest in a day or two.

sundaram paribas , franklin tempelton, or u can invest in shares , buy jai prakash associate , this will double ur returns in 6mnts to one years time.
