I would like park funds for short term. Any idea which type of funds give better returns? Any funds with out or min entry and/or exit loads?

Thanks for your offer. As the forum is for Mutual funds, I would like to park in MFs. Hence I posted here.

Hi ivgandhi,

Liquid funds seem to be a good option for the short term. HDFC / UTI are some that offer good returns ofcourse there could be better ones but it sure beats the hell of letting the cash laze around in a savings account or your broker if you are not going to be trading for a while.

I am searching for funds where entry/exit loads are nil or minimum as return in short term investment will be less and if it goes for the load then return may be less than savings account. I will be thankful if someone can point in that direction where net return after loads and probable tax is better than savings account for a period ranging from a month or two.

Thats the sort of info available at http://mutualfundsindia.com/icon.as...scheme=ZI048&opt=&flag=&news_headline=&views=

I've done a search for hdfc cash management fund here. All others are also available. You just have to go to the fund fact sheet, where entry/exit loads, returns are available. Would that help?
Thanks for the help. In ICICIDIRECT, sorting never gives result. I tried for debt short funds. criteria shows max 3% min .33% for 3 months. I tried from 2% to .5% also but with out any results. mutualfundsindia.com is better. Here also search nerver yield any result. However HDFC cash management seems may suit my purpose. How about taxability? any idea? whether TDS will be done or is it taxable?

i did some research on mutual funds (to suggest others)...but in the end i found that it is good to invest ourself by choosing some good stocks with long term view that is atleast oneyear and above time period.
