**URGENT Regarding importing the data of portfolio

#1
Hi Seniors,

Can you please guide me regarding importing the data to other sites from my demat account.

I have opted for HDFC DEMAT account and using that demat account to book mutual funds. But the HDFC security site is really bad and am unable to track the percentage of returns and other useful data to analyze my portfolio.

Can you please suggest me? how can i get all the data to moneycontrol portfolio or funds india.com website. So basically i want to track through the dashboard provided by this site,i am currently adding them manually but would be great if you can tell me is there any number or ID which i can import all the data to these site.

Thanks

If it helps... though I have not tried it from HDFC. Also, have no clue what you mean by "number or ID".

Download MProfit. If your portfolio is below 50 L, then you can use the free version. It provides for import of contract notes from various brokers, including HDFC, and covers mutual funds.

Subsequently, you can generate various reports, some of them are analytical. You would have to judge if it meets your need.

First of all I would like to thank you for your response.

By number I meant Account Number and DP ID which comes in my netbanking when I click on the demat tab.

Now the problem here is,it only shows me the Total Holding Value . Upon clicking on view I can see some more details of individual MF I have taken which includes column like ISIN,Balance,Market Rate,Market Value but what I would like to see here is the invitation date when I took the MF and the percent of returns from the date of purchase to current date for individual funds.

It would be better for me to track my investment, right now its just like a blackbox for me.I want to look into each of the MF and there performance and do not exactly remember when I started the investment.
So all this data I would like to pull into some available portfolio managers for better tracking like Money Control,Funds India or value search without too much of mess or manual entries.
Attaching the screenshot of dashboard what money control provides.

Can you please confirm? if the software you told can help me?

With Regards,
Karan

Like I said, I have not tried it. I have an account with them, but have not used them for Mutual Funds. Do you use your HDFC Bank for purchase of mutual funds or HDFC Securities?

On checking the Mutual Fund import list in MProfit, I can see import options for BNP, ICICI, FundsIndia, Karvy ... among other, but not HDFC, so I guess that is not available. For equities, Mprofit begins with contract notes so that reports for any period of time -- from purchase or financial year or any time range -- are available. Why don't you download Mprofit and check if any option is available that you can use. Alternately, write to their helpdesk or call; they respond fast.

I do not think a third party access to HDFC details, given number and ID, is available. You would have to begin with your transaction documents.

MProfit also allows manual entry, same as moneycontrol; but that is neither here nor there. You seem to be short of time for some reason, and I am unable to help you beyond this point.

Thanks Sir, Just spent couple of hours there is not automated process but did it manually and it was quite easy once I decide to spend some time with commitment.

I was using HDFC to buy MF only. Now got the option how to get the MF profit and loss report it was kinda hard to trace on the HDFC securities website :(

For HDFC DEMAT account you can login>Reports tab> Statement Section Click>Mutual Funds will come in below section> MF Profit and Loss Report(this will come in the below row)

I was worried about the date of SIP started 2 years ago, basically I don't need to worry about the date.As it is giving me the invitation NAV and current NAV and accumulated units in my account. So for calculating the returns thats all I needed.

Moreover for future, say my SIP date is 21 so I added a new SIP in moneycontrol to take care of all the future SIP to be added automatically in moneycontrol portfolio and thereby no need to worry about it in future,it will synch with the market on its own.

Hope the info help others too.

Thanks
Karan
