Default Information regarding MS Indicators

Hi All,

I am using MS 9 now. In that there are a lot of indicators that were not there in version 7. what are indicators like

BM Monetary prime rate
BM Monetary euro exchange
BM Nasdaq advance/decline ratio

DT Resistance long term (auto)
DT Resistance long term (Manual)
DT Trendline down long term( auto)

then there are a lot of indicators starting with the word ps...woudl that mean propreitory system.

PS Adaptive moving average
Ps StocRSI
PS MACD HISTOGRAM

Also in the tools there is a normal button which we press to draw trendlng. then there is another button which is used to draw semi log trendline. what would be the difference.

Any person using this please let me know what is usefl and what is not

BM = Broad Market Indicators.
DT = Dynamic Trading tools.

You can get more information from their respective books.
Metastock Books:
1) BroadMarket Indicators
2) Dynamic Trading tools
3) Metastock Formulabook
4) Metastock Pro Manual
5) Point and Figure toolbox
6) PowerPivots 80
7) Code snippets for Metastock

Regarding Performance systems, adaptive moving averages acts as a substitute for regular moving average. It lags by a lesser degree. Generally, an application of this would be to buy when close is greater than "timeframe" adaptive moving average and sell if the case is opposite. Stochastics RSI and MACDH serve similar functions.

Semi log trendline is used when you plot the graph in semi-log scale. This can be done by right clicking on the chart ---> Apply template ---> choose "semi log scale". If you aren't used to using semi-log scale and prefer arithmatic scale, the regular trendline should do.
Good luck trading.

rahul,
when you are trying to look at charts which are loaded with very long data, then generally the semilog works well and better as in longer terms only exponential moves are to be counted. For charts where only a very short period data is loaded, then you may depend on normal trendline.
