Dear All
Dataupdation in metastock format is very difficult task. Today I come across one utility which can directly update metastock data from csv file format, means NSE & BSE bhavcopy. Here is the site http://www.metastockcsv.com/ Site claim that The MetaStockCSV Plug-in seamlessly integrates your data files directly into MetaStock. (Compatible with MetaStock versions 7.0 or higher) When your data file is calculated, its ready to use in MetaStock. No import. No conversion. Statistic names may be configured and reconfigured as often as you like. Loads automatically with MetaStock. Fast access times (actually faster than downloaded EOD data). There is free version also available. I have downloaded it but unable to use it. Expert person in metastock can suggess how to use this utility ? or whether this utility is useful or not ? Please give comments. regards Hasobha |

hi hasoba,
the mscsv plug-in is just not developed to import csv based data into ms (like bhavcopy which the exchange provides). rather it is intended to plot data other than stock quotes in the charts. for example NSE provides PE ratio, dividend yield, advance decline figures and other data which can be downloaded from the nseindia website, in csv format. mscsv helps one to plot these data into the chart in an efficient way. hope it clarify things. cheers, jdm. |
