Free Yahoo data to metastock?

Hi,

Any one using Nifty spot data from yahoo to metastock live feeds, if yes, do you use any tool or does any one have custom built program. pls help.

Thank you Malhotra. I downloaded the file from 4shared. Installed Meta Server. Excel 2010 is also fetching the data.

But when starting Meta Server, it asked for key file and there was none in Meta Server folder or any where else in downloaded contents.

Please suggest the way to overcome this problem.

MSRT KEY is there in rar file . Extract the contents of rar file into a folder and import.

I installed Metaserver and now it is working. Excel DDE is fetching the quotes and Meta Server is also updating accordingly.

Yesterday I reinstalled Metastock 11 Professional(Patched version) ensuring "Vendor select Signal(Broadcast Version)". I adjusted time etc. Today I opened downloader and created new security = TATASTEEL.NS and pressed OK. Then I started metasstock and got a tiny window displaying "Connecting to data vendor please wait". After some time it displayed;"Time out attaching to the equis data server".

Then I checked downloader if the same is down loading data or not but that also displayed error and data was not downloaded.

Please suggest, where I was wrong and how to get the things done.

today for few minutes i got live data to my metastock, but it didnt last longer....... the issue is inconsistant...... pl help.

Try This


Create symbols in Metastock, Choose the same folder for online updates.
These symbols will showup on Metaserver. Then make DDE configs.

Also you can feed Metastock with ManshiRT in online mode using Metaserver.That is a much better option.

correct me if i am wrong, How can i create symbols in metastock, i can only do at downloader ? pls guide.

how and what changes to be made in DDE configs ?

if you have time pls add screen prints which will be useful.
