Can some senior member guide as to how I can use Fibotrader EOD for Futures and Options. I'm a bit confused on that front, reasons as follows:
Say for example, if i start importing from jan 1, 2009, the NEAR month is jan, NEXT mnth would be feb, and FAR mth would be mar. There may be some calls / puts / futures ACTIVE for the NEXT month in jan 2009 itself, say for example for NIFTY or they may start getting active as jan expiry approaches. When we go on to the the 1st day feb 2009 series (JAN series has EXPIRED), the near, next and far months would've changed. This resulting in the feb becoming the new NEAR month...
Now if I import the data directly into Fibotrader for the NEAR month the active options / futures of JAN would take the data into the earlier JAN series.
Please note that maybe, I may not have been able to explain properly...but inshort, I want to understand the procedure of setting the EARLIER's NEXT month to this month NEAR data so that they MERGE and i get the data correctly.
I have come to a conclusion that i need to change the NEAR to the current month i.e. JAN 2009 and NEXT to FEB2009 before importing...AM I RIGHT????
