shivashimoga -
It is very simple formula, try to study a little. the only one who will gain it is yourself. The function you need is: MOving aVerage (Data Array(C O H L), Periods(10), E(exporencial) S(simple) T(?) TRI(mov3) VAR(?) W(?) VOL(volume)) The vertical shift you want as a simple plus or subtract you use one os the both formulas: - (subtract) + (plus) What you ask is: Mov(Close, 10, Simple) + 3 or Mov(Close, 10, Simple) - 3 Regards |

Hi everyone good morning.
I am newbie to this forum and I am needing a formula to try my system trading at Metasotck. I Buy at the cross, in any direction, of the exporencial Moving Average of 17 close days and the indicator. cross(mov(c.17,e),indicator) I sell only at stops and this is the problem. All my stops are determined by the last daily support less 0,1. I Update the stop everytime the moving price (indicator) makes a new support. And I use two filters, Only buy if Mov(c,17,E) > Mov(c,34,E) and if RSI(9)<50. All my periods is for daily. I will be glad if any one can help, I am search for some time the powerpivot plugin or other effective plugin to use designing the supports. Regards. |

Read it on the Net, may be of some use :
*METASTOCK TIP* This MetaStock tip will allow you to have further flexibility with your formula writing. The Input function, used in conjunction with custom indicators, prompts the user for input. You may have already encountered the input function and didn`t even know it. For example, do you remember when applying the moving average indicator, MetaStock prompts you to "enter time periods," "method," "price fields," etc? These are all input functions. The basic syntax for using the input function is as follows: input("{prompt text}",{minimum value},{maximum value},{default value}); An example of an input function can be seen below: periods := Input("Enter the number of periods for the highest high", 1, 9999, 40) ; C>Ref(HHV(C, periods ),-1) This indicator will search for the highest high within a period set by the user. Can you see how this could increase your coding flexibility? If you`d like to learn how to fully use the input function and discover more secrets just like this search the Net yourself !!!! ![]() |
