Default Back testing at various timeframes for intraday data

I have intraday data in ticks. Whenever I do backtest simulation it uses only tick data.when changing dates, I didn't find any provision to change periodicity. Any solution to back test data with 5mins periodicity.

Change resolution of data from ticks to minutes. That will depend upon the application that you are using.

Thanks for your response. While doing back test simulation, in which dialog, changing resolution of data from tick to 5 min can be done? May be I am missing some where to locate this or should I change something in formula to change resolution ? If so how to do it? I am using metastock pro 8
