Default Exploring all NSE stocks in Metastock simultaneously.

Metatsock while trying to explore asks for securities. as stocks are arranged in folders alphabetically, I can add only stocks in particular alphabet folder. Is there any easy way to add all stocks in NSE for exploring?

In Metastock, you can provide securites from multiple folders when it asks for "Select Securities for .... " by clicking on add securities. Once you have collected securities from multiple folders, before clicking on OK button to run explorer, take a moment and Click on
"Save.." button and store this list of securities in a new folder.

From next time onward, you can pick up all securities from this new folder directly, without going to multiple folders.

Hope this helps..
Happy Trading.

Thanks for your help. How to collect securities from multiple folders first?
Second if new securities are added, how to know that new security is added and add the new to the list.

lv gandhi its very simple procedure

1.click on explorer
2.On the left side in this window we have folders, click on the folder that you want to add once
3. At the centre you have two tabs, ADD REMOVE , click on ADD then again click on another folder you want to add and click ADD
4. Once you have completed adding folders just click ok below and your search is ready

Please ask if you require any further clarifications

Thanks for your help. I think we can't add folders. We have to add securities in that folder. As AW10 has suggested, I have done and made folder in favorites having the total list. But still my problem is if a security is added, how to know and add it to the list?

I am using MS pro 8. When I click add security button it shows Open dialog. Using shift and ctrl keys I can select folders. But when click open nothing happens if multiple folders are selected. If I select a single folder and open it it shows all the securities names in that folder. If I am doing something wrong, correct me please.

For making all securities in one folder go to downloader open dialog box for converting securities in that select the options tab on that select destination folder unselect replace existing file and transverse destination folder and apply. That will solve you problem. If you can't do it call me 9840034503. I can solve your problem

Thank you for your response. My problem was selecting all stocks for exploration. I think you are telling about importing data to a single folder. I already have a folder with data which has multiple folders and I am using it.
Further that problem is solved by using favorites. But my problem now is how to know daily any new symbol is added and update favorites.
