let us calculate the sp500 index, we could take any other but the reason why i am taking sp500 is data is readily available, we can cross check past data easily, the reason for not taking SEXSEX is too few stocks in the group i wanted a bigger sample.
Our plan would be to
1. Calculate the daily index value.
2. Take care of additions
3. Take care of deletions
4. Mostly it's just replacement(delete old and add new )
5. Take care of Change of weights
6. calculate different variations of index values(including not-weighted which means all components have equal weights)
